TOM EVANS
President & CEO
Tom Evans is President and CEO of CP Resolutions, LLC. Tom has more than 35 years of experience in claims and litigation management.
Tom began his career working as a Workers’ Compensation plaintiff’s attorney, but moved quickly to the other side of the table as defense counsel. He then joined SAIF Corporation – Oregon’s primary Workers’ Compensation insurer – as Director of their Legal Department. He was eventually promoted to Vice President of Claims, where he managed a department of 400 employees and handled 50,000+ claims annually. While service as VP of Claims at SAIF, he turned their Workers’ Comp line from $50 million annually in the red to $50 million annually in the black.
Tom turned that expertise and experience into a successful claims consulting career. He was invited by some of the largest Workers’ Comp and P&C insurers in the country to redesign their claims departments comprehensively. A sampling of the companies for which he performed national redesigns includes Travelers, AIG and CNA. Tom also redesigned and implemented claims management programs at several regional insurers. One national insurer saw the performance of one insurance line improve by more than $280 million annually.
Tom started CP Resolutions as a solution to one of his clients’ most vexing problems – the need for adjusters to master several processes to resolve liens. This area requires highly specialized expertise, and Tom believes adjusters should focus on what they do best.
Tom has a B.A. from Yale University and a J.D. degree from Willamette University.
Tom and his wife have been married for more than 40 years. They are the proud parents of five children and several grandchildren. They live in the Denver area with three horses and their “ranch dog,” a very beautiful Standard Poodle.
GREG BASHAW
Executive Vice President
Greg Bashaw is Executive Vice President of CP Resolutions, LLC (“CPR”). Greg has more than 25 years of experience in business law and marketing.
Greg began his career after law school as an attorney for the Nevada Legislature, where he researched and wrote statutes and regulations for the State of Nevada. One of his areas of expertise was the regulation of the state insurance industry.
After getting his M.B.A., Greg moved to Frankfurt, Germany, to serve as Director of Business Development for a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics. He was later promoted to Managing Director of that subsidiary. After moving back to the United States, he joined a Fortune 50 company at their headquarters as a Director of Marketing.
Greg then decided that he wanted to be part of a smaller company and began working as Director of Business Development at a lien resolution company. He then joined Tom Evans as a partner in CP Resolutions.
Greg has a J.D. from Brigham Young University and a M.B.A. from The University of Texas, Austin.
Greg and his wife have been married for nearly 30 years. They have four children and two very busy grandsons.
